創業400年以上。江戸時代初期の元和元年（1615年）に綿布商として創業した。現在は手拭いや風呂敷を扱っていらっしゃいます。永楽屋の手ぬぐいはきめ細やかでなめらかな肌触りの木綿生地を使って友禅染めで染めています。発色が鮮やかで美しく、季節やシーンに合わせて様々な柄の手拭いが欲しくなります。京都ならではのデザインもあるのでお土産におすすめ。

Established for over 400 years, this business has its roots dating back to the early Edo period, in the first year of the Genwa era (1615), when it was founded as a cotton fabric merchant. Today, they specialize in hand towels and furoshiki (wrapping cloths). The hand towels from Nagayakuya are dyed using the Yuzen dyeing technique, on finely textured and smooth cotton fabric. The colors are vivid and beautiful, and they offer a variety of patterns suitable for different seasons and occasions. With unique Kyoto-inspired designs, they make for excellent souvenirs.
