平安時代、雲林院の境内の一部であったこの場所には、紫式部の産湯に使われたといわれる井戸が現在も残されています。真珠庵は特別公開時を除き通常は非公開ですが、一休宗純和尚を参拝希望の方はお電話で問合せしてみてください。お寺さんとのタイミングが合えば参拝できる場合もあります。

In the Heian period, it is said that a well, which remains today, located in what was once part of the precincts of Unrinin, was used for the first bath of Murasaki Shikibu. The Shingetsuan is usually not open to the public except during special occasions. However, if you wish to visit and pay respects to the Venerable Ikkyu Sojun, you may inquire by phone. Depending on the timing with the temple, there may be opportunities for a visit.
