大徳寺にはお庭や寺院が複数隣接しています。重森三玲により作庭された瑞峯院の枯山水はお寺であるにも関わらず創建した大友宗麟がキリシタン大名であることから十字架のオマージュが施されています。他にも千利休が作庭した黄梅院や、座禅の体験ができる大仙院など、見どころで溢れているスポットです。
As it’s a temple complex, there are many gardens and temples inside Daitoku-ji. Daitokuji was constructed in 1319 but most part was damaged during Onin War. You can see several beautiful zen gardens and enjoy zen culture and architecture. Besides, you can also experience Zazen as well.
